Faith Lutheran in Honduras

The Christian church always proclaims the forgiveness of Jesus Christ to the world. Believers are called to love their neighbors regardless of what that neighbor believes. We reach out and share in their pain and suffering. We help and share the blessings God gives to us.

Faith Lutheran Church extended her love and mercy to the poor of Honduras last week as she sent Pastor Sell with a mission team from Trinity Lutheran of Edwardsville, IL.

The week was filled with days that began at 5:30 a.m. and ended with various board games and talk at about 11 p.m.. Teams of doctors, nurses, and other Lutherans set out to share our First Article gifts with the poor, the widows, and children of Honduras.

Pastor Sell is very thankful to the members of Faith who contributed medicine, shampoo, and financial gifts so that he could attend. He plans on making a couple of presentations in the Sunday morning bible study about the trip.

Trinity Lutheran has a great website about their work in Honduras along with daily reports and pictures from the trip here.
